 Dear friend,

    Training Nationals for Nationals in integrity and skills (Psalm 78:72)

(1Cor 3:6-9)  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.  For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

God’s ministry requires that we labor together with Him and with one another.  Our principle of faith-ministry is to tell God and to tell God’s people.  God’s work done in His will and way will never lack God’s supply.  God is glorified and we, His co-laborers, enter into His blessing and reward.

Praise the Lord for our prayer partners.  Many of you have conveyed through the social media that you are praying for us and the nationals that we are training.  We deeply covet your prayers foremost.  Through our prayers together, God gives us exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph. 3:20).  Please continue to pray for the rest of programs for this year.  We yearn to finish strongly.  Remember, less prayer, less blessings; more prayer, more blessings; much prayer, much blessings.  We yearn to see what the good Lord will do in and through us, as we progressively yield to His will and way. 

Then we praise the good Lord for our teaching partners.  Though we have a core of trainers, yet we still need others to put in a week or two.  Thanks so much to those who step into the gap.  In training others, we develop a bigger vision and a deeper passion for God and for people.   We also grow in His grace and knowledge.

Resource partners are also important.  Recently, the publishers of “Genesis Genealogies” gave us 75 copies to facilitate the training in Medan, for which we are thankful.  The pastors and leaders appreciated the many lessons learnt.  They now have good teaching and preaching material.  We are praying also for good training programs on videos to help facilitate our training.  If you know of any please let us know.

Last and not least, we praise the gracious Lord for our financial partners.  We would not be able to minister if we do not have the funds. Each trainer has to raise his own funds for travel, board and lodging.  Then we also have to provide board and lodging for the Nationals in some places and for transport and food in others.  Our pastors and leaders are in Third World countries and they need our prayer and help.  Our labor of love and sacrifice will never be in vain as we invest in God and eternal souls who are reaching out to their own. 

The everlasting Lord promises:  (Rev 22:12-13)  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.   May we enter into His joyous “Well done, you faithful servant” and into His Presence and Reward!

I.      Medan INDONESIA  Sept. 5-9:   We had the good privilege of training a good number of 75+ pastors and leaders from Medan, Acheh and Nias.  God be praised for supplying us some materials to help in the training.   Last session for the year  in Medan will be on November 21-25.  God is faithful in enabling us to train four times a year in Medan. 

Our point-man, Rev. Haposan desires to start an undergraduate program in Christian ministry.  Our prayer is to train Nationals so that they can train their own.  This is bearing fruit in our brother’s life and in other lives too as God transform lives and build knowledge, wisdom and skills.  The target date will be January, 2012.  Please pray for this new vision.

II.     NEPAL

                  Sept. 18-22 : Kathmandu - Trainer John Ching and I will be training about 45 pastors and leaders. He will be doing Good Soil Evangelism, while I will be concentrating on the History of Redemption - Genesis. We will also be having our first ever Graduation on Thursday evening, Sept. 22. Please come and celebrate with us if you can.
                  Sept. 25-29 : East Nepal - This will be our second session with the new batch of pastors and leaders in the East. Please pray for good bonding and great learning experiences.

III.     MYANMAR

Special Conferences: Training for pastors and leaders will be held in Mandalay and Maymyo on Nov 23 - Dec 2. One-day special conference on the History of Redemption will be held on Dec. 1 in Mandalay and another one on Dec. 2 in Maymyo (with Mandarin interpretation), headed by trainers with a publishing company. We are praying for a good team to help train nationals. Please pray for God's leading and blessing.
